SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Brainstorm with the user, decompose a large task into logical subtasks, and produce a self-contained plan for each that can be executed by personal-flow agents.

Core Features & Use Cases

Brainstorming with the user to clarify task goals, constraints, and success criteria.
Systematically decompose a large task into cohesive subtasks with explicit dependencies.
Generate self-contained plans for each subtask that specify scope, interfaces, and execution steps for automation agents.
Organize all artifacts in NoteCove folders to preserve context and enable resumption or review.

Quick Start

Provide the initial task details using --project <key-or-name> and --task-code <code> (e.g., --project MYPROJ --task-code TASK-001) to begin the workflow.

FAQPage Schema

How do I break down a large software project into subtasks for automated execution?▼

To break down a large software project into subtasks for automated execution, you can use a task decomposition workflow that brainstorms goals, partitions work into cohesive units with explicit dependencies, and generates self-contained plans for each subtask.

What is task decomposition in project management?▼

Task decomposition in project management is the process of systematically partitioning a large task into cohesive subtasks with explicit dependencies and scoping, producing structured plans that specify interfaces and execution steps for automation agents.

How do I generate actionable subtask plans within NoteCove workflows?▼

You generate actionable subtask plans within NoteCove workflows by initiating a brainstorming session to clarify constraints, then systematically decomposing the task and organizing the resulting plan artifacts into NoteCove folders to preserve context.

Can I use this task decomposition process for product teams managing complex software projects?▼

Yes, you can use this task decomposition process for product teams managing complex software projects, as it is specifically designed to support product teams by clarifying success criteria and generating self-contained plans for automation agents.

What's the best way to structure subtask dependencies for personal-flow agents?▼

The best way to structure subtask dependencies for personal-flow agents is to generate self-contained plans for each subtask that explicitly define task scoping, interfaces, and execution steps, ensuring all artifacts are organized in folders to enable resumption.
