What problem does it solve?

Many product managers lack clear, outside-in insight into how their designers and engineers actually perceive their day-to-day behavior, priorities, and communication. This Skill converts a PM's concrete behavioral answers into realistic, candid peer-survey responses so the PM can encounter specific, actionable feedback rather than vague self-assessments.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Behavioral interview: Guides the PM through eight targeted, concrete questions about decisions, pushback, priorities, involvement, pressure, credit, unglamorous work, and people.
  • Synthetic peer responses: Produces two 150-250 word first-person responses written in the distinct voices of a designer and an engineer, each balancing strengths and gaps with plausible specific examples.
  • Gap synthesis and action: Summarizes the core perception gap, explains its cost with the team, and recommends one concrete weekly action to change that perception.
  • Use cases: Prepping for a 1:1 or review, coaching sessions, retrospectives, and diagnostic exercises when a PM wants honest, outside-in feedback.

Quick Start

Answer the eight behavioral questions honestly and sequentially to generate a designer response, an engineer response, and a concise gap synthesis with one weekly action.
