What problem does it solve?
Many content creators spend hours configuring Obsidian folders, templates, attachment locations, and agent safety rules manually, which leads to inconsistent vault structures and makes AI-assisted workflows fragile. This Skill provides a repeatable scaffold and clear agent guardrails so vaults are immediately organized for text and image creation and safe automation.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Vault scaffolding: Copies a PARA-inspired directory layout (Inbox, Daily, Notes, Projects, Resources, Areas, Archive, Assets, Templates) into the current vault root without deleting existing user files.
- Templates & starter pages: Provides daily, note, project, and resource templates to standardize content capture and project tracking.
- Agent guardrails: Installs AGENTS.md files that define runtime conventions, YAML preservation, and Git boundaries so AI agents operate safely within the vault.
- Common scenarios: Initialize a new creator vault, reorganize a messy vault for AI workflows, or provision templates and attachment defaults before publishing content.
Quick Start
Run the init_vault.py script from your vault root to copy the scaffold into the current directory while preserving existing files.
