SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill provides a framework for automated contract testing, allowing developers to verify that their code meets the specified behavior obligations and contracts.

Core Features & Use Cases

Contract Verification: Automatically verify the behavior of source code against its declared obligations.
Test Execution: Run executable tests that claim to prove specific contracts.
Audit and Executor: Offers a simple audit mode for reconciling contracts without execution, as well as a full executor for running tests with detailed reporting.
Use Case: When developing a complex software application, use this Skill to define contracts for expected behaviors and test them thoroughly to ensure compliance.

Quick Start

Activate the skill with test-build and run the executor with executor run to execute all tests.

Frequently Asked Questions about test-build

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

What is automated contract testing and how does it verify behavior obligations?▼

You can execute contract tests automatically by activating the test environment and running the executor command, which parses declared obligations and runs executable tests to provide detailed compliance reporting.

Do I need msdmd to run behavior testing and contract verification?▼

Yes, msdmd is required for parsing and verification during contract testing, serving as the underlying convention to define and validate behavior obligations within your software development workflow.

Can I audit code contracts against expected behaviors without executing tests?▼

Yes, you can use the simple audit mode to reconcile declared contracts without execution, allowing you to review behavior obligations before running the full executor for detailed test reporting.

When should I use contract-driven development for software quality assurance?▼

Use contract-driven development when building complex applications that require strict adherence to specified behavior obligations, ensuring thorough automated testing and compliance verification across your codebase.
