SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Running and validating libatbus unit tests using a private framework, covering Windows DLL/PATH setup, test groups, encryption/compression tests, multi-node patterns, and shared memory notes.

Core Features & Use Cases

Private unit testing framework for libatbus (not GoogleTest).
Handles Windows DLL PATH setup, test group execution, multi-node test patterns, and shared memory scenarios.
Use case: Rapidly validate changes across core subsystems with isolated test groups.

Quick Start

Run the atbus_unit_test binary to execute the complete test suite and verify results.

Frequently Asked Questions about testing

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I run libatbus unit tests across Windows and multi-node scenarios?▼

To run libatbus unit tests, execute the atbus_unit_test binary to automate and coordinate test groups, verifying cross-platform compatibility and multi-node patterns. It handles Windows DLL PATH setup and reports results.

Does libatbus use GoogleTest for its unit testing framework?▼

No, libatbus unit testing uses a private testing framework rather than GoogleTest. This custom framework coordinates execution, groups tests, and handles shared-memory patterns and encryption/compression coverage.

How do I validate shared-memory and encryption patterns in a libatbus test suite?▼

You validate shared-memory and encryption patterns by running isolated test groups through the atbus_unit_test binary. The private framework coordinates these specific test scenarios and reports validation results.

What is the best way to set up Windows DLL PATH for automated unit testing?▼

Automated unit testing handles Windows DLL PATH setup natively during execution. By running the atbus_unit_test binary, the private framework configures the environment to ensure cross-platform test reliability.

Can I group and isolate libatbus subsystem tests for rapid validation?▼

Yes, you can group and isolate libatbus subsystem tests. The private testing framework executes specific test groups, allowing you to rapidly validate changes across core subsystems like multi-node and shared memory.

Why does my libatbus cross-platform test execution fail on Windows?▼

Cross-platform test execution on Windows requires proper DLL PATH setup. The testing skill automates this environment configuration, but failures may occur if the atbus_unit_test binary is missing or incorrectly built.
