SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Converts a dependency-tagged task plan into a verifiable, visual timeline with a focus on the critical path and what-if cascade modeling to show programme impact.

Core Features & Use Cases

Build a dependency network from a matter plan with FF/FS/SS relationships and duration estimates.
Generate an interactive Gantt view and filtered workstream/jurisdiction timelines for client-ready updates.
Run what-if cascades to model delays, determine cascading impacts, and draft client/local counsel communications.

Quick Start

Feed a dependency-tagged task list into the tool to generate a visual Gantt and cascade outputs for baseline and what-if scenarios.

Frequently Asked Questions about timeline-generator

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I convert a matter plan into a visual Gantt timeline with critical-path analysis?▼

To convert a matter plan into a Gantt timeline, input a dependency-tagged task list with FS/FF/SS relationships and duration data. The tool processes this structured input to generate a verifiable visual timeline and identify the critical path for baseline scenarios.

Can I model delay impacts across jurisdictions using what-if cascade analysis?▼

Yes, you can model delay impacts across jurisdictions by running what-if cascades on the dependency network. This analysis calculates cascading effects from schedule changes and generates a cascade-impacts report for baseline and what-if scenarios.

What dependency types and data formats do I need for legal project management timeline generation?▼

Timeline generation requires a structured task list input tagged with Finish-to-Start (FS), Finish-to-Finish (FF), and Start-to-Start (SS) dependency types, alongside duration estimates. The tool uses this data to build the dependency network and critical path.

How do I generate client-ready communications after modeling schedule delays?▼

To generate client-ready communications after modeling delays, run a what-if cascade scenario. The tool automatically produces draft communications for clients and local counsel based on the calculated cascade impacts from the schedule disruption.

What is the best way to visualize workstream timelines for legal matter updates?▼

The best way to visualize workstream timelines is by feeding the dependency-tagged task plan into the generator. It produces an interactive Gantt view and filtered workstream or jurisdiction timelines suitable for client-ready status updates.
