What problem does it solve?

The Toast Notification System provides a lightweight, non-intrusive way to communicate gameplay events to players without blocking input or overwhelming the UI.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Decoupled communication between gameplay logic and UI via a ToastNotificationChannel ScriptableObject.
  • An object-pooled UI_ToastManager that reuses UI elements to minimize allocations.
  • UI_ToastElement visuals that fade in and out on a timer, with a payload determining text, icon, and style.
  • Use cases include item pickups, level-ups, warnings, and status updates that should be visible yet unobtrusive.

Quick Start

Integrate the channel into your player or controller logic and raise a ToastNotificationPayload when an event occurs.
