What problem does it solve?

SafeArea keeps content within the visible screen bounds on devices with notches, status bars, and on-screen keyboards, preventing inputs and controls from being obscured.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • SafeArea wrapper control to constrain content within safe insets
  • Attached property insets: use <SafeArea Insets="..."> or utu:SafeArea.Insets="..." for non-container usage
  • Insets values include Left, Top, Right, Bottom, SoftInput (keyboard) and can be combined
  • Mode options: Padding (default) or InsetMode.Margin to add padding or margins as required
  • XAML namespace: xmlns:utu="using:Uno.Toolkit.UI" for attached property usage
  • Use Case: ensure forms remain usable on devices with home indicators and keyboards

Quick Start

Wrap your page content in a SafeArea control and configure Insets to avoid keyboard overlap and notches.
