SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill requires requests, and includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) and assets (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

Finding genuinely undervalued growth stocks across the US market requires reconciling forward estimates, cash-flow quality, dilution, leverage, and cyclicality across thousands of listings, which is impractical to do manually and error-prone when done ad hoc.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Autonomous end-to-end screening: Runs a deterministic pipeline that audits the NYSE/Nasdaq/NYSE American listing universe, builds a multi-lane candidate pool (core GARP, high-growth exceptions, quality near misses, cyclicals), and ranks candidates without requiring a ticker list.
  • Primary-source underwriting: Verifies selected candidates against SEC filings and company IR, building driver-derived EPS/FCF forecasts, standard FCF, ROIC, SBC, and dilution evidence.
  • Fail-closed quality gates: Applies strict evaluation, prepublish audits, and self-contained artifact bundling so only fully evidenced results are presented as final rankings.
  • Use Case: Ask for a US undervalued-growth screen with no parameters and receive an audited ranking of up to three deep-dived candidates with a downloadable evidence bundle.

FAQPage Schema
How do I screen US stocks for undervalued growth opportunities?

Run the skill with a minimal request such as asking to screen for undervalued-growth stocks. It autonomously audits the NYSE, Nasdaq, and NYSE American universe, builds a candidate pool, and returns a ranked result with an audit bundle.

What data sources does this stock screener use?

It uses Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) for bulk market and estimate data via a direct API pipeline, then verifies selected candidates against SEC filings and company investor relations sources. An FMP_API_KEY environment variable is required.

What market-cap range and exchanges does the screener cover?

By default it covers active operating-company common stocks on NYSE, Nasdaq, and NYSE American with market caps between USD 500 million and 20 billion, a minimum price of USD 5, and validated average daily dollar volume.

Can I use this screener for dividend or momentum stock strategies?

No. The skill explicitly excludes pure dividend, momentum, technical-pattern, pre-revenue biotech, and merger-arbitrage screening. It focuses on EPS or FCF per-share growth supporting 30-50% upside over two to three years.

Why does the screening script exit with code 2?

Exit code 2 is an internal continuation signal meaning enrichment, pool resolution, or contract repair is incomplete. The workflow continues automatically in the same task rather than asking the user to continue.

Does the screener place trades automatically?

No. It produces research rankings and audit bundles only. Automatic order placement is explicitly out of scope, and all trading decisions remain the user's responsibility.
