FAQPage Schema

How do I conduct a heuristic evaluation for my web application?▼

Heuristic evaluation applies established usability principles like Nielsen's heuristics to identify potential UX friction points and interface problems. This process evaluates software interactions against recognized guidelines to ensure products remain intuitive and efficient.

What is the best way to plan usability testing for a new feature?▼

Usability testing for a new feature involves planning moderated or unmoderated sessions to observe target users completing core workflows. You can test with five users to identify points of confusion, ensuring the task success rate meets expectations before launch.

Can I run accessibility audits to ensure my software is usable by people with disabilities?▼

Accessibility audits evaluate software and web applications to ensure they are usable by people with disabilities. This involves checking adherence to established accessibility guidelines and identifying barriers within the user interface.

How do I measure task success rate and generate UX research reports?▼

Measuring task success rate and generating UX research reports involves collecting and analyzing key metrics like SUS scores during testing. This data analysis produces actionable reports highlighting identified usability issues and accessibility barriers.

Does this usability testing approach support unmoderated sessions?▼

Yes, usability testing supports both moderated and unmoderated sessions to observe users completing tasks. This allows you to choose the appropriate session moderation method based on your test planning needs and target participant recruitment.

When should I use heuristic evaluation instead of moderated usability testing?▼

Use heuristic evaluation when you need an expert review of usability principles to quickly identify potential problems, and choose moderated usability testing when you need to observe actual user interactions and collect metrics like task success rate.
