FAQPage Schema

How do I run React web components in React Native without rewriting code?▼

To run React web components in React Native, use the 'use dom;' directive at the start of your component. This executes web code verbatim in a WebView on native platforms while rendering as-is on the web.

Can I use third-party web libraries like charting tools in an Expo app?▼

Yes, you can embed third-party web libraries like charts or syntax highlighters in Expo apps. By using the 'use dom;' directive, the library executes within a WebView on native without requiring native rewrites.

What is the best way to migrate existing web code to native incrementally?▼

The best way to migrate web code to native incrementally is using the 'use dom;' directive. It allows you to embed complex HTML, CSS, and dynamic content directly into React Native environments without rewriting existing logic.

Does 'use dom' work for both web and native platforms simultaneously?▼

Yes, 'use dom' works for both. It renders web-compatible code as-is on web platforms while automatically executing the same code within a WebView on native platforms, ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
