What problem does it solve? Valuation reports often fail in two ways: they bury the answer under pages of tables, or they present a single point estimate with false precision and no disclosure of unresolved critic findings. This Skill structures the final report so the decision-maker gets the recommendation, the range, and the audit trail in the right order. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Mode-specific templates: Six report templates covering valuation, corporate-finance, acquisition, project, IPO, and restructuring modes, each with sections in a fixed order. - Value bridge and range discipline: Pulls every number from owning artifacts, presents the equity bridge or value stack, and reports a labeled range instead of a point estimate. - Disclosure and vintage tracking: Names the two or three pivotal assumptions, discloses unresolved high-severity critic findings, and records the as-of vintage of every reference table used. - Use Case: After a DCF analysis completes, draft REPORT.md and verdict.json that state value against price with a margin of safety, the implied market assumption, the closing catalyst, and a machine-readable verdict that passes the reconciliation gate. ## Quick Start Use the valuation-reporting skill to assemble the final report and verdict.json from the completed analysis artifacts for this valuation mandate.

FAQPage Schema
How do I write a valuation report for a decision-maker?

Lead with the recommendation, value, range, and one-sentence rationale on the first screen, then show the value bridge, the two or three pivotal assumptions, and the range with likelihood labels. Use the template matching your analysis mode and pull every number from its owning artifact.

What report template should I use for an acquisition analysis?

Use the acquisition template, which structures the report around the maximum justifiable price. It covers the four numbers (price, status quo, restructured, synergy value), the synergy detail with haircuts, the acid test by motive, and the walk-away price.

Should a valuation report give a point estimate or a range?

Report a base case with an explicit range labeled by what produced it, such as a sensitivity grid, scenario grid, or simulation percentiles. A point estimate to the cent claims precision the inputs cannot support and undermines reader trust.

How are unresolved critic findings disclosed in the report?

Disclose them in a named section with the finding id, severity, target stage, the critic's claim and evidence, what was attempted across reruns, and the value effect if the critic is right. Never soften, bury, or omit a high-severity finding.

Can I average a DCF value with a peer multiple price?

No. Report the intrinsic and relative estimates separately, explain the difference, and name which one carries the decision and why. Averaging them hides the disagreement, which is itself the analytical finding.

Why does the report forbid recomputing numbers?

Every figure must come from the artifact that owns it, so the summary and body never disagree. When a number needs recomputing, the owning stage reruns and rewrites its artifact, and the report picks up the new value.
