What problem does it solve?
This Skill eliminates the friction of getting Claude Code to reliably read and write inside an Obsidian or local markdown vault without violating your structure, naming, or conventions.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Generates a CLAUDE.md API contract for a local knowledge vault, defining purpose, organization, naming conventions, and explicit do/don’t guardrails.
- Runs a vault discovery + 5-question diagnostic flow to tailor the contract to your existing layout and preferences.
- Optionally creates vault context files like memory.md (persistent context) and _session.md (per-session change tracking) to support continuity across interactions.
Quick Start
Run /vault-bootstrap and provide the path to your vault directory, then answer the five diagnostic questions to generate the CLAUDE.md contract.
