SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Organizes complex web investigations by enforcing a plan, delegating work to subagents, and synthesizing findings into a coherent report with clear citations.

Core Features & Use Cases

Structured planning: Create research questions, subtopics, and expected outputs to guide subagents.
Subagent delegation: Spawn multiple subagents to research different subtopics in parallel, reducing turnaround time.
Synthesis & citations: Compile findings into a cohesive narrative with source URLs and quotes for reliable reports.
Use cases: Academic literature reviews, market landscape analyses, and topic briefs requiring diverse sources.

Quick Start

Start a research session by creating a dedicated folder and delegating clearly defined subtopics to subagents.

Frequently Asked Questions about web-research

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I coordinate structured web research across multiple subtopics?▼

Subagent delegation in web research works by spawning multiple subagents to investigate different subtopics in parallel. Each subagent executes its defined research step, returning findings that are systematically synthesized with source URLs and quotes into a cohesive narrative.

Can I generate citation-rich reports for academic literature reviews using subagents?▼

Yes, citation-rich reports for academic literature reviews are a primary use case. The process systematically synthesizes findings from delegated subagents into a cohesive narrative, explicitly including source URLs and quotes to ensure reliable, verifiable reports across diverse sources.

What's the best way to plan a market landscape analysis requiring diverse sources?▼

The best way to plan a market landscape analysis is to define explicit research questions, subtopics, and expected outputs first. This structured plan guides delegated subagents to systematically gather and synthesize diverse sources into a comprehensive, citation-rich topic brief.

Does this web research approach work for cross-topic comparisons?▼

Yes, this web research approach works for cross-topic comparisons by explicitly delegating each comparison subtopic to separate subagents. The systematic synthesis step then compiles their parallel findings into a single document, highlighting differences and similarities with citations.

Do I need a dedicated folder to start a web research session?▼

Yes, you need a dedicated folder to start a web research session. Creating a dedicated folder organizes the structured planning steps, manages the outputs from delegated subagents, and stores the final synthesized report alongside its source citations.
