What problem does it solve?

Switching between multiple Obsidian wiki vaults is slow and error-prone, especially when you need to change the active vault quickly without manually editing config paths.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Switch active vault: Re-points the ~/.obsidian-wiki/config symlink to a chosen ~/.obsidian-wiki/config.<name> profile.
  • List vault profiles: Detects available config profiles and indicates which one is currently active.
  • Show and manage configs: Prints full config contents for a vault while redacting sensitive fields like API_KEY and SECRET.
  • Create new vault configs: Scaffolds config.<name> from the currently active config, prompting you for vault-specific and secret-related changes.

Quick Start

Run /wiki-switch work to activate your "work" wiki vault and apply its configured OBSIDIAN_VAULT_PATH.
