SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This feature helps you surface cross-cutting insights by automatically identifying high-cooccurrence concept pairs in your Obsidian wiki that currently lack a synthesis page, enabling structured synthesis work.

Core Features & Use Cases

Build a co-occurrence map across vault pages to surface hidden connections between concepts.
Generate new synthesis/ pages that formalize cross-cutting conclusions and link back to source concepts.
Use case: after a large vault ingest, quickly surface top synthesis opportunities to accelerate knowledge integration.

Quick Start

Ask the agent to run a wiki-synthesize pass and generate synthesis pages for the top candidate concept pairs.

Frequently Asked Questions about wiki-synthesize

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I find missing synthesis pages for co-occurring concepts in my Obsidian vault?▼

To find missing synthesis pages for co-occurring concepts in your Obsidian vault, this feature scans your wiki inventory to identify high-cooccurrence concept pairs lacking dedicated pages. It then generates synthesis pages under a synthesis directory and links them back to source concepts.

What is the best way to surface cross-cutting insights after a large Obsidian vault ingest?▼

The best way to surface cross-cutting insights after a large Obsidian vault ingest is to run a wiki synthesis pass. This process builds a co-occurrence map across vault pages to identify hidden connections and automatically generate structured synthesis pages.

How does co-occurrence mapping work for knowledge management in Obsidian?▼

Co-occurrence mapping for knowledge management in Obsidian works by scanning the vault inventory to calculate which concept pairs frequently appear together. It surfaces top candidate pairs or clusters that lack synthesis pages, enabling you to formalize cross-cutting conclusions.

Can I automatically generate and link synthesis pages to source concepts in Obsidian?▼

Yes, you can automatically generate synthesis pages and link them to source concepts in Obsidian. This process creates pages under the synthesis directory, enforces provenance and quality rules, ensures back-links exist, and updates the index, log, and hot states accordingly.

Does wiki synthesis require any specific dependencies or components to run?▼

Wiki synthesis does not require any specific dependencies or components to run. It operates directly on your existing Obsidian wiki inventory to scan for high-value cross-cutting insights and generate the necessary synthesis pages.

When should I run a wiki synthesis pass on my notes?▼

You should run a wiki synthesis pass on your notes when you need to accelerate knowledge integration, particularly after a large vault ingest. It helps surface top synthesis opportunities by identifying high-cooccurrence concept pairs that currently lack formal synthesis pages.
