SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Quickly understand unfamiliar code by producing a high-level map of modules and their callers, aligned to the project's domain glossary.

Core Features & Use Cases

Generate a high-level module-call map to reveal relationships and entry points.
Identify key dependencies and top callers to streamline onboarding and code navigation.
Use Case: Onboarding a new component, request a domain-glossary-aligned overview showing how it fits within the system.

Quick Start

Describe the current area of code to the agent and ask for a high-level map of modules and callers in domain glossary terms.

FAQPage Schema

How do I generate a high-level module map to understand an unfamiliar codebase?▼

To generate a high-level module map, describe the codebase area to the agent and request a module-caller diagram. This produces a static map aligned to the domain glossary, revealing entry points and dependencies for architectural review.

What is the best way to visualize module relationships and top callers for onboarding?▼

Visualizing module relationships for onboarding involves generating a static module-call map that identifies key dependencies and top callers. This high-level diagram streamlines code navigation by revealing how a new component fits within the system.

Can I use this module-caller map approach for large-scale codebases?▼

Yes, this module-caller mapping approach is suitable for large-scale codebases. It delivers a static, domain-glossary-aligned overview that maps high-level modules and their callers, providing broader context without being overwhelmed by codebase size.

How does a domain-glossary-aligned caller analysis help with code exploration?▼

A domain-glossary-aligned caller analysis helps code exploration by translating raw module dependencies into business-domain terms. This contextualizes the module-call map, making it easier to identify entry points and understand system architecture during onboarding.

What should I provide to start mapping code modules and their callers?▼

To start mapping code modules, you need to describe the current area of code you are investigating. The agent then processes this description to generate a high-level map of modules and their callers using domain glossary terms.

When do I need a static module-to-caller diagram instead of interactive code navigation?▼

You need a static module-to-caller diagram when performing an architectural review or onboarding to a new component. It provides a high-level, domain-glossary-aligned overview of relationships and entry points, offering broader context than interactive navigation.
