FAQPage Schema

How do I get a high-level map of codebase modules and their interdependencies?▼

To get a high-level map of codebase modules, you can generate an architectural overview that identifies relevant components and their relationships using project domain terminology. This provides a bird's-eye view of the system's structure and dependencies.

What is the best way to understand how a specific section of code fits into the overall system architecture?▼

Understanding how a specific section of code fits into the overall system architecture involves generating a module map of callers and dependencies. This contextualizes individual code sections within the larger system, aiding comprehension when you are unfamiliar with the codebase.

How do I generate a module map for code navigation and contextual understanding?▼

You generate a module map for code navigation by requesting an analysis of specific modules, such as asking to map all modules and their callers for a target like the 'user-accounts' module. It utilizes project domain vocabulary to identify relevant components.

Does code analysis for architecture mapping require specific dependencies or components?▼

Code analysis for architecture mapping does not require specific dependencies or components to function. It operates independently to generate a high-level overview and map of interdependencies without needing external tools or setup.

When do I need to map module interdependencies for code comprehension?▼

You need to map module interdependencies for code comprehension when you are unfamiliar with a particular section of code and need to understand its place within the larger system. It provides a higher-level perspective on how specific code sections fit into the overall architecture.
