FAQPage Schema

How do I generate a module map to understand unfamiliar codebase architecture?▼

To generate a module map for an unfamiliar codebase, you can use a high-level context tool that maps out relevant modules and their callers using the project's domain glossary vocabulary. This provides a structured architectural overview to help you quickly understand system structure and dependencies.

What is the best way to map module callers across different architectural layers?▼

Mapping module callers across architectural layers is best done by generating a structured outline that identifies relationships and data flows between modules. This contextual navigation helps you audit architecture and understand how different layers interact within the codebase.

Can I get a high-level code context overview for onboarding to a new project?▼

Yes, you can get a high-level code context overview for onboarding by generating a concise architectural map of modules and callers. This overview serves as an onboarding aid for new contributors by providing a structured understanding of the project's architecture and domain vocabulary.

Does generating a module-caller map require a domain glossary?▼

Generating a module-caller map uses the project's domain glossary vocabulary to present the structured outline. This ensures the high-level context accurately reflects the project's specific terminology and helps you understand the architecture using the correct domain language.

How do I audit architecture across layers in a large codebase?▼

To audit architecture across layers in a large codebase, generate a top-level map of the project's modules and their callers. This provides a structured outline using domain glossary vocabulary, allowing you to identify relationships and data flows across different architectural layers.
