What problem does it solve?
Zotero is excellent for collecting and organizing references, but teams often struggle to translate that structure into durable, project-facing notes in Obsidian. This skill provides a seamless workflow to create canonical paper notes in Obsidian from Zotero items, link them into a project knowledge base, and maintain coverage and visualization of the literature.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Collect and organize papers in Zotero and read items from Zotero MCP.
- Create or update one canonical paper note per paper under Obsidian's Papers/ directory.
- Synthesize and link literature knowledge under Knowledge/ and visualize relationships with Maps/literature.canvas.
- Verify that a Zotero collection has complete canonical note coverage and maintain a collection inventory when needed.
Quick Start
Bind your Obsidian vault to the Zotero bridge and run a collection ingest to generate canonical paper notes under Papers/.
