High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I plan weekly work cycles and manage team capacity in Linear?▼

Plan weekly work cycles by prioritizing the backlog based on priority, estimate size, and issue age, then scheduling them into Linear cycles. This ensures team workload aligns with available capacity budgets for realistic weekly execution.

How does backlog prioritization work for sprint planning?▼

Backlog prioritization for sprint planning orders Linear issues based on priority, estimate size, and age. This ensures the most critical and appropriately sized tasks are scheduled first to maximize team capacity utilization.

Can I track estimation quality when scheduling issues into Linear cycles?▼

Yes, estimation quality tracking differentiates between discovery estimates and refined estimates during cycle planning. This distinction provides better capacity management by clarifying estimate maturity when scheduling issues into Linear cycles.

Do I need a Linear API integration to balance workload across team members?▼

Yes, Linear API integration is required for issue and cycle management to balance workload across team members. The system relies on Linear issue states and estimates, adhering to defined capacity constants to ensure accurate workload distribution.

What are the limitations of using fixed capacity constants for project scheduling?▼

Fixed capacity constants limit scheduling flexibility when team availability fluctuates dynamically. Adhering strictly to predefined capacity budgets may prevent rapid workload adjustments if unexpected issues alter available team member hours during the cycle.
