SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill simplifies the process of instructing an AI agent to pick up specific objects from designated receptacles, streamlining interactions in virtual environments.

Core Features & Use Cases

Object Acquisition: Guides the agent to pick up items like "toiletpaper 1" from specified locations such as "toilet 1".
Navigation Assistance: Ensures the agent verifies its position and interactions before attempting pickup.
Use Case: In a household simulation, instruct the AI to collect an item like "toiletpaper 1" from the "toilet 1" receptacle for use or further task execution.

Quick Start

Instruct the AI to pick up the "toiletpaper 1" object from the "toilet 1" receptacle to complete the task.

Frequently Asked Questions about alfworld-object-picker

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I pick up specific objects from predefined receptacles in AI environments?▼

To pick up objects in AI environments, this Skill parses environment observations and executes the take action to retrieve specific items from designated receptacles. It verifies the agent's position and interactions before attempting the pickup.

What is object retrieval in household navigation simulations?▼

Object retrieval in household navigation simulations involves instructing an AI agent to identify and acquire specific items, such as toiletpaper 1, from designated locations like toilet 1 to streamline virtual environment interactions.

How do I instruct an AI agent to collect items from a toilet receptacle in a simulation?▼

You instruct the AI agent to collect items by specifying the target object and receptacle, such as asking it to pick up toiletpaper 1 from the toilet 1 receptacle, and the agent executes the take action to complete the task.

Does this object pickup Skill require verifying the agent's position before taking an item?▼

Yes, the object pickup Skill requires verifying the agent's position and interactions before attempting the pickup. It ensures navigation assistance by confirming the agent is correctly positioned at the target receptacle.

Can I use this Skill to pick up any object from any receptacle in a simulated environment?▼

You can use this Skill to pick up specific predefined objects from designated receptacles within simulated environments. It is applicable in household navigation and object retrieval scenarios where items and locations are explicitly defined.
