What problem does it solve?

Anvil Level Design Blender addon solves the time-consuming, error-prone work of applying materials and managing UVs for Trenchbroom-inspired level building.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Automated material application with UV management: applies textures from images while generating consistent UVs (including tiling and stretched fits) to keep level texturing coherent.
  • Hotspot mapping for texture atlases: lets you define atlas regions and automatically assigns UV coordinates to faces using orientation-aware hotspot rules (with optional JSON sharing).
  • Level-design geometry and workflow tools: provides workspace-aware controls such as camera/grid tools, geometry operators (including backface-aware selection behavior), weld and cut workflows, and export-focused material fixes.

Quick Start

Ask: "Install and configure the Anvil Level Design Blender addon, create the Level Design workspace and Hotspot Mapping workspace, then apply a texture to a selected face and randomise atlas hotspots for the level geometry."
