Edit the TOML customization files: the skill's customize.toml provides defaults, while team overrides go in _bmad/custom/<skill-name>.toml and personal overrides in <skill-name>.user.toml. Scalars override, tables deep-merge, and arrays append.

BMad CIS is a creative innovation strategy framework that provides the config.yaml, customization resolver script, and downstream skills like bmad-cis-innovation-strategy. The agent reads _bmad/cis/config.yaml for user name and language settings.

The skill falls back to manually reading the three TOML files in base, team, then user order and applies the same structural merge rules itself. Missing files are skipped silently, so the persona still activates with whatever configuration exists.

Use it when you want focused disruption analysis grounded in Christensen's disruption theory, Blue Ocean reframing, and Jobs-to-be-Done thinking. It is less suited for execution-level tasks like financial modeling or project planning.
