SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

Confluence environments often become disorganized as teams scale, leading to poor findability, inconsistent templates, and governance gaps. This Skill provides a structured approach to designing scalable space hierarchies, robust permissions, and reusable page templates to maintain consistency and clarity across spaces.

Core Features & Use Cases

Space design and permission governance to support team growth and cross-team collaboration.
Template-driven page patterns and macro adoption to standardize content and accelerate onboarding.
Space pattern libraries and automated structure recommendations for projects, teams, and domains.
Real-world example: reorganize a team's Confluence space to include Architecture, Development, Runbooks, and a governed knowledge base with ADRs and templates.

Quick Start

Run the space-structure generator with your team profile to generate a starter Confluence space and permission scheme.

FAQPage Schema

How do I design a Confluence space architecture for scaling teams?▼

Create reusable Confluence templates and macros to standardize page patterns for Architecture, Development, and Runbooks. This accelerates onboarding and maintains content consistency across governed spaces.

What is the best way to set up Confluence permissions for cross-team collaboration?▼

Set up Confluence permissions by applying governed permission strategies across spaces based on team profiles. This ensures robust access control and secure cross-team collaboration as your organization scales.

Can I generate a Confluence space structure automatically based on team profile?▼

Yes, you can generate a starter Confluence space structure and permission scheme by running the space-structure generator with your specific team profile. This provides automated structure recommendations for projects and domains.

How does Confluence governance improve information discovery for knowledge bases?▼

Confluence governance improves information discovery by standardizing space layouts, reusable templates, and permission strategies. This structured approach prevents findability gaps and maintains clarity across team knowledge bases.

What are the limitations of restructuring existing Confluence page hierarchies?▼

Restructuring existing Confluence page hierarchies requires careful migration of current content into new template-driven patterns and governed space layouts. Limitations include potential disruptions to established permissions and existing macro configurations during the reorganization.
