What problem does it solve?

This Skill ensures the quality and effectiveness of OKR (Objectives and Key Results) decomposition, preventing poorly planned initiatives and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Core Features & Use Cases

Automated Quality Assurance: Reviews the decomposition of OKRs into Key Results, Key Results into Projects, and Projects into Initiatives.
Decision Making: Provides a clear verdict of 'approved', 'needs_revision', or 'rejected' for the decomposition quality.
Feedback Loop: Triggers automated re-decomposition by 'Autumn Rice' when revisions are needed or rejection occurs.
Use Case: Before launching a new strategic objective, use this Skill to automatically vet the proposed breakdown of Key Results and associated Projects to ensure they are actionable, measurable, and aligned.

Quick Start

Use the decomp-check skill to review the OKR decomposition for the Q3 strategic objective.

FAQPage Schema

How do I check if my OKR decomposition is aligned with strategic goals?▼

To check OKR decomposition alignment, validate the quantity, measurability, causality, and naming conventions across OKR to KR, KR to Project, and Project to Initiative levels to ensure strategic alignment and receive a revision verdict.

What is the best way to validate KR to Project decomposition quality?▼

The best way to validate KR to Project decomposition quality is to perform an automated quality assurance review that checks measurability, causality, and naming conventions, providing actionable feedback or an approval verdict.

How do I review OKR decomposition using a structured JSON input?▼

You can review OKR decomposition by providing a structured JSON input detailing parent and child entities with their attributes, which the engine then validates for quantity, measurability, and strategic alignment.

When do I need automated quality assurance for OKR decomposition?▼

You need automated quality assurance for OKR decomposition before launching a new strategic objective to vet proposed breakdowns of Key Results and Projects, ensuring they are actionable, measurable, and aligned with strategic goals.

Why does my Project to Initiative decomposition get rejected during a quality check?▼

Project to Initiative decomposition gets rejected during a quality check when it fails to validate quantity, measurability, causality, naming conventions, or strategic alignment, resulting in a rejected verdict and actionable feedback for revision.

Can I use decomp-check to trigger automated re-decomposition when revisions are needed?▼

Yes, when decomp-check provides a verdict of needs_revision or rejected, it triggers a feedback loop for automated re-decomposition, supplying actionable feedback to correct the OKR breakdown.
