What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps teams maintain situational awareness of what has been explored and what remains uncharted during the DISCUSS phase by maintaining an explicit exploration map with status indicators.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Structured Exploration Map: tracks explored, partial, current, uncharted, skipped, and flagged areas with status and timestamps.
  • Backtracking & Checkpoints: supports returning to partially explored areas and capturing context for later review.
  • Adaptive Questioning Guidance: leverages questioning patterns to surface gaps and drive structured exploration.
  • Use Case: in a product discovery session, topics like "User onboarding" or "Data storage" can be mapped, gaps identified, and decisions linked to subsequent plans.

Quick Start

  1. Create an Exploration Map for your topic and set all top-level areas to UNCHARTED.
  2. Begin DISCUSS by marking the CURRENT area, adding sub-areas as you go, and recording any discoveries.
  3. Run a checkpoint to review coverage and decide next steps (continue DISCUSS or move to PLAN).
