What problem does it solve?

Feline-specific clinical medicine addressing the unique metabolic vulnerabilities, stress physiology, and disease predispositions of domestic cats. Cats lack hepatic UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UDP-GT) activity, making them sensitive to drugs metabolized by glucuronidation (acetaminophen, permethrin, NSAIDs). Stress-induced hyperglycemia is near-universal in veterinary settings and must be differentiated from diabetes mellitus. Common feline diseases include CKD, hyperthyroidism, FLUTD, diabetes, and viral infections (FIV, FeLV). Cats are obligate carnivores with minimal carbohydrate tolerance. Natural hiding behavior masks severe illness until late-stage presentation.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Cat-specific metabolic and disease knowledge to guide safety, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
  • Handling and stress-management considerations to improve diagnostic accuracy and welfare.
  • Use cases include CKD staging, hyperthyroidism management, diabetes evaluation/remission potential, FLUTD workups, and FIV/FeLV status interpretation.

Quick Start

Provide a concise feline medicine plan tailored to a specific cat case.
