SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This skill helps verify that the Go implementation of HyperDbg remains consistent with the original C++ HyperDbg codebase, identifying deviations in structures, bindings, and IOCTL layouts to guide fixes.

Core Features & Use Cases

Compare Go and C++ implementations to surface mismatches in types, enums, and IOCTL definitions.
Validate SDK bindings generated by the Bindgen pipeline and map differences to concrete code changes.
Provide targeted remediation guidance for aligning core debugger components (core, kernel_level, user_level, and bindings).

Quick Start

Run the consistency checker against the current Go codebase and the corresponding C++ HyperDbg sources to surface layout and naming mismatches.

Frequently Asked Questions about hyperdbg-consistency-checker

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I verify Go and C++ HyperDbg struct layout consistency?▼

To check HyperDbg IOCTL structure deviations, compare Go type mappings against the original C++ codebase to identify mismatches in struct layouts and enum definitions. This consistency verification covers debugger core, kernel_level, user_level, and sdk bindings to highlight potential deviations.

What is the best way to validate SDK generated bindings for HyperDbg?▼

The best way to validate SDK generated bindings is to run the Bindgen pipeline consistency checker against both the Go and C++ HyperDbg sources. This process maps differences in enum mappings and constant names to concrete code changes, ensuring cross-file reference compatibility.

Can I check enum mappings and constant names between Go and C++ HyperDbg implementations?▼

Yes, you can check enum mappings and constant names between the Go and C++ HyperDbg implementations. The consistency checker validates these mappings alongside struct layouts across core, kernel_level, user_level, and bindings components to ensure full compatibility and surface deviations.

Does the HyperDbg consistency checker work with debugger kernel_level and user_level components?▼

Yes, the HyperDbg consistency checker works with debugger kernel_level and user_level components, alongside the core and sdk bindings. It identifies gaps in IOCTL structures and type mappings across these areas to provide targeted remediation guidance for aligning the Go and C++ implementations.

Why do my Go HyperDbg bindings have mismatches with the C++ codebase?▼

Go HyperDbg binding mismatches with the C++ codebase occur due to deviations in struct layouts, enum mappings, constant names, and cross-file references. Running a consistency check across debugger components and sdk bindings highlights these specific gaps and guides concrete code fixes.
