SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill provides a definitive, non-negotiable mapping of all vanilla Minecraft biomes to specific latitude bands, ensuring consistent and predictable world generation with the Latitude (Globe) mod.

Core Features & Use Cases

Biome-to-Latitude Mapping: Clearly defines which latitude bands each vanilla biome belongs to.
Rarity & Overlay Definitions: Specifies rarity tiers and identifies overlay biomes (like mountains) that are not strictly latitude-dependent.
Source of Truth: Acts as the single, authoritative reference, preventing guesswork or manual reassignment of biomes.
Use Case: When configuring the Latitude mod, this Skill ensures that biomes like 'Savanna' are correctly placed in the 'Arid ↔ Tropics' band, and 'Snowy Plains' are in the 'Subpolar' band, maintaining the mod's intended climate simulation.

Quick Start

Consult the latitude-biome-authority skill to determine the correct latitude band for the 'Jungle' biome.

Frequently Asked Questions about latitude-biome-authority

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I map vanilla Minecraft biomes to latitude bands for world generation?▼

To map vanilla Minecraft biomes to latitude bands, you need a definitive configuration that assigns each biome to specific climate zones, ensuring consistent world generation. This prevents arbitrary biome reassignment.

What is the correct latitude band for the Jungle biome in the Latitude mod?▼

The correct latitude band for the Jungle biome is determined by authoritative climate mapping rules. These rules ensure biomes are placed in appropriate latitude bands, preventing guesswork and maintaining the mod's climate simulation.

How do I configure biome rarity and overlay biomes for Minecraft world generation?▼

To configure biome rarity and overlay biomes, rules must specify rarity tiers and identify overlay biomes like mountains that are not strictly latitude-dependent. This ensures consistent climate eligibility and predictable world generation.

Does the Latitude mod require a specific configuration to prevent arbitrary biome reassignment?▼

Yes, the Latitude mod requires an authoritative mapping configuration to prevent arbitrary biome reassignment. This configuration enforces rules for biome inclusion, rarity, and climate eligibility, acting as the single source of truth for world generation.

Why does my biome configuration break the climate simulation in the Latitude mod?▼

Your biome configuration breaks the climate simulation if it does not adhere to defined latitude bands and overlay biome logic. Enforcing authoritative rules for biome inclusion and climate eligibility prevents this inconsistency.
