SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps learners transform weak task descriptions into clear, testable instructions. It is designed for situations where a task is too vague, subjective, or underspecified to execute reliably.

Core Features & Use Cases

Structured rewriting practice: Rework task descriptions so they include background, concrete actions, completion criteria, and constraints.
Guided comparison and feedback: Compare an improved version against a model answer and use review feedback to refine the rewrite.
Training workflow support: Useful for prompt-crafting exercises, task-spec cleanup, and learning how to write instructions that are easier to follow and evaluate.

Quick Start

Ask the skill to rewrite a weak task description into a clearer version that states the background, the required work, the acceptance criteria, and the scope limits.

Frequently Asked Questions about learn-pc-rewrite

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I rewrite vague task descriptions into clear instructions?▼

To rewrite vague task descriptions, restructure them to explicitly state the background, concrete actions, completion criteria, and constraints. This ensures instructions are testable and easier to execute reliably while preserving the original intent.

What makes a task description underspecified and how do I fix it?▼

A task description is underspecified when it lacks clear scope, role definitions, or acceptance criteria. You fix it by making the required work, background, and completion criteria explicit, transforming subjective requests into structured instructions.

How do I write prompt-crafting exercises for ambiguous tasks?▼

Writing prompt-crafting exercises involves taking ambiguous tasks and reworking them into structured formats. You compare the improved version against a model answer and use review feedback to refine the rewrite for better evaluation.

Can I use a rubric to evaluate rewritten task specifications?▼

Yes, you can use a rubric to evaluate rewritten task specifications. The process supports guided comparison against a model answer, allowing you to apply review feedback to refine the instructions and ensure they meet acceptance criteria.

What is the best way to add acceptance criteria to weak instructions?▼

The best way to add acceptance criteria to weak instructions is to explicitly define the completion standards and scope limits. This transforms underspecified tasks into clear, testable specs that support reliable execution and review.
