What problem does it solve?
This Skill helps you turn text prompts and reference images into usable 3D assets while managing Meshy's asynchronous API, generation stages, topology, materials, rigging, animation, licensing, and production validation.
Core Features & Use Cases
- 3D Asset Generation: Create single props, characters, creatures, and other coherent assets through text-to-3D, image-to-3D, and multi-image-to-3D workflows.
- Production Control: Separate geometry preview from texturing, manage polygon budgets and topology, generate PBR materials, remesh models, preserve UVs, and export to formats such as GLB, FBX, OBJ, USDZ, STL, and 3MF.
- Animation and Delivery: Prepare textured humanoids for rigging and library animation, operate asynchronous jobs with polling, streaming, or webhooks, and review assets for engine import, printing, licensing, retention, cost, and quality risks.
- Use Case: Create a 20,000-triangle steampunk prop as a PBR GLB, or reconstruct a character from multiple views, remesh it within rigging limits, apply a walk animation, and route it into Unity, Unreal, or Blender.
Quick Start
Use the meshy-3d skill to create a textured Meshy-6 GLB from a single-subject prompt, wait for the preview to succeed, refine it with PBR materials, and review the result for topology, texture, licensing, and delivery readiness.
