What problem does it solve?
This Skill helps people communicate more empathically and effectively by applying Marshall Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication (NVC) framework to real interactions, messages, and reflections, reducing escalation and improving mutual understanding.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Situation coaching: Reflect back the situation, identify observations, name 2-3 candidate feelings and needs for the user and the other person, and suggest 2-3 concrete NVC-aligned things the user could say or do.
- Message reformulation: Rewrite emails, texts, or spoken lines to replace blame with observations, express honest feelings and needs, convert demands into requests, and explain the rationale behind key edits.
- Retrospective reflection & concepts: Normalize reactive communication, identify turning points in past interactions, offer alternative phrasings, and teach practical NVC distinctions and vocabulary for ongoing practice.
Quick Start
Describe a recent interaction or paste the message you want reformulated and ask for an NVC-based rewrite.
