What problem does it solve?

Prevents awkward or unjustified made-up wording by applying Oiticica’s neologism principle to decide when a new English term is truly needed and when it should be replaced with an existing word.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Need-based acceptance: Accepts a new term only when a new distinction, role, process, or distinction requires naming, and rejects novelty that displaces a good existing word without adding meaning.
  • Formation and fit checks: Verifies word formation using English morphology/phonology cues (stem, prefix, suffix, stress, likely pronunciation) and ensures the sentence tells readers what the new term denotes.
  • Objective pass/fail review: Produces a structured review using an objective rubric, either in source-model preservation mode or in repair mode for weak passages.

Quick Start

Use oiticica-neologism to revise the paragraph about your new concept so it uses only necessary, well-formed English terminology.
