SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes template.md (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill provides a structured approach to designing quick, focused experiments that reveal harsh truths about product ideas and technical feasibility, helping teams identify risks early without costly investments.

Core Features & Use Cases

Designing Lightweight Probes: Guides users to create small, disposable tests for specific hypotheses.
Risk Elimination: Helps validate technical or user-related risks swiftly, reducing wasted effort on unfounded assumptions.
Use Case: A team wants to verify if a new AI summarization feature can produce accurate summaries before building a full integration; they document and run a PoL probe to determine feasibility.
Template Guidance: Offers detailed templates to plan, execute, and dispose of experiments effectively.

Quick Start

Use this skill to outline a PoL probe for testing whether users can complete a new onboarding step under 2 minutes.

FAQPage Schema

How do I design disposable prototypes to validate product hypotheses?▼

Disposable prototypes for product testing are designed by defining specific hypotheses, setting clear success criteria, and outlining disposal plans for quick, honest feedback. This structured approach targets technical or user risks early without costly investments.

What is a PoL probe and when do I need it for product testing?▼

A PoL probe is a rapid, disposable validation test used to reveal harsh truths about product ideas and technical feasibility. You need it to identify technical or user risks early before committing to full development efforts.

Can I use this approach to test technical feasibility for AI integrations?▼

Yes, you can test technical feasibility for AI integrations by documenting and running a targeted probe. For example, you can verify if a new AI summarization feature produces accurate results before building a full integration.

How do I set success criteria for rapid validation experiments?▼

Success criteria for validation experiments are set by defining measurable thresholds tied to your hypothesis, such as testing whether users complete a new onboarding step under 2 minutes. This supports fast, agile decision-making.

What is the best way to eliminate project risks early in development?▼

The best way to eliminate project risks early is by running low-cost, focused experiments that validate unfounded assumptions. Designing lightweight probes provides quick, honest feedback to reduce wasted effort on technical or user-related risks.
