What problem does it solve?
Design governance for Power BI reports is often implicit or project-locked, leading to inconsistent visuals, inaccessible themes, and brittle handoffs. This skill codifies the design process by generating canonical Design Briefs and per-page layout contracts, ensuring a repeatable, auditable, and execution-ready design foundation.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Define design identity (tone + signature) and apply 2–3 layout variants per page to reflect data signals.
- Route pages through per-page archetypes (Executive, Operational, Analytical, Narrative, Comparative) and generate a comprehensive Layout Contract with canvas, grid regions, and placements.
- Emit a structured Design Brief that downstream tools (powerbi-report-authoring) can translate into PBIR mechanics, theming safeguards, and validation checks.
