Use the scienceworld-room-explorer skill to scan your current location and obtain an overview of all objects and their statuses.

Frequently Asked Questions about scienceworld-room-explorer

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I map a room environment to identify objects and their states?▼

To map a room environment, you can perform an environmental survey using a 'look around' action to identify visible objects, their states, and connections for spatial reasoning. This generates a detailed room inventory for task planning.

What is environmental surveying for spatial reasoning in AI agents?▼

Environmental surveying for spatial reasoning is the process of scanning a room to detect visible objects and their current states, such as open or closed. It provides AI agents with initial environment awareness to plan subsequent manipulations.

Can I use room mapping to detect object states like open/closed or on/off?▼

Yes, room mapping includes state assessment to detect specific object states like open, closed, on, or off. This observation parsing helps generate a detailed inventory of the environment for robotics or AI agents.

When do I need to perform an environment survey for robotics task planning?▼

You need to perform an environment survey when entering a new workspace or after changes occur in the environment. This rapid environmental awareness allows you to update room mappings and accurately plan subsequent actions.

Does object detection for room mapping work without prior knowledge of the environment?▼

Yes, object detection for room mapping works without prior knowledge by executing a 'look around' action to observe the current layout. It uses simple observation parsing to identify objects and generate a detailed inventory from scratch.
