SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill automates the creation of C# interfaces and implementations for backend services, decoupling game logic from external APIs and facilitating dependency injection.

Core Features & Use Cases

Interface Generation: Creates I{ServiceName}.cs defining service contracts.
Implementation Generation: Creates {ServiceName}Impl.cs for service logic (initially mockable).
Use Case: Generate an IAuthService and MockAuthService to handle user authentication before a real backend integration is available.

Quick Start

Use the service-layer-generator skill to create an AuthService in the Game.Services namespace.

FAQPage Schema

How do I generate backend service interfaces in Unity for dependency injection?▼

To generate Unity backend service interfaces for dependency injection, use this Skill to create C# interface definitions and WebRequest implementations, decoupling game logic from external APIs.

What is the best way to mock backend authentication in Unity before the real API is ready?▼

Mocking backend authentication in Unity involves generating an IAuthService interface and an initial mock implementation, decoupling game logic from external APIs until your real backend is ready.

Does Unity 6 support asynchronous C#12 features for backend service integration?▼

Yes, Unity 6 supports asynchronous C#12 features for backend service integration. This Skill requires Unity 6+ and C#12 features specifically to handle asynchronous operations for backend communication.

Can I use dependency injection for inventory and leaderboard services in Unity?▼

Yes, you can use dependency injection for inventory and leaderboard services in Unity. The generator supports creating these specific backend services alongside auth services using agnostic interface contracts.

How do I decouple game logic from external APIs in Unity?▼

You decouple game logic from external APIs in Unity by generating agnostic service interfaces and WebRequest implementations. This pattern ensures game logic interacts with contracts rather than concrete API calls.
