SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Spec-driven development accelerates and standardizes how features are defined by generating precise specs, architecture decisions, and acceptance criteria before coding, reducing miscommunication and rework.

Core Features & Use Cases

Specification planning: generate structured feature specs and SRS sections from input.
Module design guidance: outline module boundaries, interfaces, and data flows prior to implementation.
Traceability & governance: load systems-process-requirements when workflow changes require formal modeling.

Quick Start

Plan a feature by asking me to generate an implementable spec document for the requested module.

Frequently Asked Questions about spec-architect

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

What is an execution-ready feature specification?▼

An execution-ready feature specification is a structured SRS-style document that captures explicit acceptance criteria, module interfaces, and data flows before coding begins, reducing miscommunication and rework.

How do I generate implementation-ready specs before coding a new module?▼

You generate implementation-ready specs by providing feature input to produce structured SRS-like sections, outlining module boundaries, interfaces, and data flows prior to actual development.

Can I use this to plan system workflows and module boundaries for new features?▼

Yes, you can use this to plan system workflows by generating structured feature specs that outline explicit module boundaries, interfaces, and data flows prior to implementation.

Does spec planning work without external dependencies for capturing requirements?▼

Yes, spec planning works without external dependencies, using the repository's standard operating procedure to load systems-process-requirements when workflow changes require formal modeling.

What is the best way to standardize feature definition and reduce development rework?▼

The best way to standardize feature definition is through spec-driven development, generating precise architecture decisions and acceptance criteria before coding to reduce miscommunication and rework.

When do I need formal traceability and governance for software requirements?▼

You need formal traceability and governance for software requirements when workflow changes require formal modeling, loading systems-process-requirements to ensure explicit acceptance criteria are captured.
