FAQPage Schema

How do I set up portfolio governance across multiple projects?▼

Portfolio governance coordinates oversight across projects through specialized PMO agents. Dispatch PMO specialists via task dispatch with designated areas—planning, governance, or risk—to establish portfolio-level controls, gate reviews, and decision frameworks across your project portfolio.

What's the best way to manage resource capacity planning across teams?▼

Resource capacity planning balances allocation and utilization across teams using PMO specialists who maintain RAID logs and assess team availability. Dispatch capacity-planning agents to analyze current allocation, identify constraints, and recommend rebalancing to optimize resource usage.

How do I create executive dashboards and reporting for portfolio-level risk?▼

Executive reporting consolidates portfolio metrics, risk status, and resource health into dashboards. PMO specialists dispatch to gather evidence-based data from projects, synthesize findings into portfolio narratives, and generate reports that surface risks and governance status for leadership review.

When should I use portfolio-level oversight instead of managing projects individually?▼

Portfolio-level oversight becomes essential when managing multiple concurrent projects competing for shared resources, when governance gates must apply consistently across the portfolio, or when executive visibility into cross-project risk and dependencies is required for strategic decision-making.

What information do I need before dispatching PMO specialists?▼

Before dispatch, define the portfolio scope, identify which area—planning, governance, risk, or reporting—requires focus, and provide project status data, resource inventories, or risk registers. PMO specialists require clear problem statements and existing project documentation to apply governance frameworks effectively.

Can PMO specialists make autonomous strategic decisions about portfolio direction?▼

No. PMO specialists provide evidence-based analysis, recommendations, and reporting but do not make autonomous strategic decisions. Dispatch enforces non-self-sufficiency; strategic choices remain with portfolio owners and executive stakeholders who review specialist findings.
