SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill solves the challenge of identifying the true sources of a company's competitive advantage by moving beyond surface-level observations to a rigorous, activity-based structural analysis.

Core Features & Use Cases

Structural Decomposition: Breaks down any enterprise into nine distinct value activities to pinpoint cost drivers and differentiation potential.
Linkage & System Analysis: Identifies how internal activities connect and how the firm fits into the broader industry value system.
Use Case: Use this tool to analyze why a competitor is outperforming your business, identifying whether their advantage stems from specific operational efficiencies, superior supply chain links, or a fundamental re-engineering of the industry value chain.

Quick Start

Use the value chain skill to perform a competitive advantage analysis for the company Tesla by evaluating its primary and support activities.
