SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve? Founders often struggle to articulate why a customer should buy from them instead of a competitor, leading to vague messaging, wandering sales conversations, and weak positioning. This Skill turns persona, offering, and competitive data into a sharp, scored internal value proposition. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Fixed CVP Formula: Assembles the statement "To [target group and need], our [brand] can/will [benefits] that will [point-of-difference]" from four required elements. - CVP Gauge Scoring: Grades the statement as weak, adequate, or strong based on element coverage plus an impact and specificity check, then suggests one sharpening edit. - Business-Type Value Menus: Tailors benefit language for B2C, B2B, or B2G buyers and flags unproven or price-only differentiation claims. - Use Case: A candle maker with a defined persona and competitive assessment uses the Skill to produce a strong CVP, then hands it to funnel and content planning while holding ad copy for founder approval. ## Quick Start Build a customer value proposition for my hand-poured candle brand targeting thoughtful gift-givers and score its strength.

FAQPage Schema
How do I write a customer value proposition for my business?▼

Fill the fixed formula: To [target group and need], our [brand] can/will [provide benefits] that will [point-of-difference]. The Skill pulls the who and need from your persona and the difference from a competitive assessment, then assembles and scores the statement.

What are the four elements of a value proposition?▼

A complete CVP contains what the product is, who should use it, the primary benefits to that target, and the point of difference versus competitors. Statements with only two or three elements score weak or adequate on the CVP Gauge.

Is a value proposition the same as a tagline or slogan?▼

No. A CVP is an internal decision-rationale for why customers should buy from you, not external ad copy or a slogan. External messaging derived from it must go through content skills, and public publishing or ad spend requires founder approval.

When should I not use a value proposition builder?▼

Do not use it before a persona and competitive-advantage assessment exist, since those supply the target need and point of difference. It also does not choose your target segment; use market segmentation for that decision first.

Can one value proposition cover multiple customer personas?▼

No. When two personas differ materially, the Skill writes a separate CVP per persona because one statement cannot serve distinct buyers. Each CVP links to its specific persona and offering.
