SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve? Hiring interviews often rely on improvised, hypothetical, or legally risky questions, and interviewers score candidates on inconsistent rubrics. This Skill turns an existing job description into a standardized behavioral interview guide and a shared A-D scorecard so every interviewer probes past behavior against the role's real competencies. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Behavioral Question Generation: Builds one past-behavior question per critical task and competency using a question bank and a behavioral-interviewing ladder, converting hypothetical questions into evidence-based ones. - Legality Filter: Drops and flags any question that is not job-related or touches protected classes, routing flagged items to HR/legal review before use. - Scorecard Construction: Produces a blank A-D scorecard grid (Criterion | Question | Evidence | Score) with must-pass gating criteria and an overall rating scale. - Use Case: A founder with a JD for an Operations Coordinator asks for an interview guide; the Skill produces a 9-question single-round guide covering all 4 critical tasks plus values and mission-alignment probes, with a blank scorecard ready for the interviewers. ## Quick Start Build an interview guide and scorecard from the job description for the Operations Coordinator role.

FAQPage Schema
How do I create an interview guide from a job description?▼

Provide the job description's critical tasks, competencies, and values, and the Skill builds one behavioral question per task plus values and mission-alignment probes. If no JD exists, it stops and runs the job-description-builder first rather than inventing competencies.

What is a behavioral interview question versus a hypothetical one?▼

Behavioral questions ask about past actions, such as "tell me about a time you resolved a delivery exception," while hypothetical questions ask "what would you do." This Skill rewrites any hypothetical question into past-behavior form because past behavior is stronger evidence of competency.

Can interview questions about family or age be included?▼

No. Questions touching protected classes such as age, religion, disability, or marital and family status are dropped and added to legal_flags. Any legal flag requires founder and HR/legal review before the guide is used in interviews.

How does the A-D interview scorecard work?▼

Each question is scored A through D, where A is the strongest evidence of the competency and D is weakest or absent. The scorecard also includes an overall rating scale from Highly Recommend to Unacceptable, with must-pass criteria marked as gating.

When should I not use an interview guide generator?▼

Do not use it to create the job description itself or to score an actual candidate after the interview. Use job-description-builder first to define the role, then hiring-scorecard-and-fit to apply the blank scorecard to real candidates.
