The Opentrons Temperature Module provides on-deck heating and cooling from 4–95°C with 1°C resolution, eliminating the need for ice buckets or cold-chain logistics. Load it via API, set your target temperature, and hold samples at precise temperatures throughout your protocol.

Yes. The module supports PCR thermal cycling steps, reagent pre-warming, and cold storage on the same deck. It works with aluminum block adapters for plates, tubes, and PCR strips on both GEN1 and GEN2 Opentrons systems.

On-deck temperature control spans 4–95°C with 1°C resolution, covering cold storage, ambient incubations, and high-temperature PCR applications within a single integrated module.

Load the temperature module via the Opentrons API, set your target temperature, allow stabilization time, perform your assay steps, and optionally deactivate the module before protocol completion. Status reporting is available throughout.

The module supports standard microplates, PCR strips, and individual tubes using aluminum block adapters. Compatibility extends to GEN1 and GEN2 Opentrons hardware with proper adapter specification in your protocol.
