SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve? Founders often commit capital and time to unvalidated ideas. This Skill turns a raw business idea into an evidence-backed go, refine, or kill decision by screening it against the characteristics of a real opportunity and stress-testing it across six feasibility dimensions. ## Core Features & Use Cases - Five-Characteristics Screen: Gates every idea on customer pain, new product or market, competitive advantage leverage, profitability, and founder fit before deeper analysis. - Six-Dimension Feasibility Assessment: Interrogates the opportunity, customers, market, competition, financials, and founder fit, logging every unanswerable question as a sourced data gap instead of guessing. - Verdict with Research Tasks: Issues a go, refine, or kill verdict with a risk list, 3M (Management, Market, Money) adequacy check, and a prioritized list of research gaps to close. - Use Case: A founder proposes a subscription refill line for existing cleaning-products customers. The Skill screens the idea, models margin and capital gap, checks customer-conversation evidence, and returns a refine verdict with the exact blocking research tasks. ## Quick Start Evaluate whether my idea to offer concentrated refills to our existing cleaning-products customers is a feasible growth opportunity.

Frequently Asked Questions about opportunity-feasibility-analysis

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema
How do I validate a business idea before investing money?▼

Run the idea through a five-characteristics screen covering customer pain, new product or market, competitive advantage, profitability, and founder fit, then assess six feasibility dimensions. The output is a go, refine, or kill verdict with prioritized research tasks for any unanswered questions.

What is a feasibility analysis for a new product or market?▼

A feasibility analysis interrogates six dimensions: the opportunity itself, potential customers, market size and trends, competition, financials, and founder fit. Each unanswered question is logged as a data gap with a named source rather than being guessed.

How many customer conversations are needed to validate demand?▼

Zero direct customer conversations means the idea is unvalidated and cannot receive a go verdict. One to four conversations is a weak signal, five to fourteen is emerging validation, and fifteen or more is a credible demand signal.

When should I not use opportunity feasibility analysis?▼

Do not use it to generate new options, since that belongs to idea expansion, or to plan an already-validated idea, which belongs to strategic planning. It is also not a substitute for deep competitor benchmarking or legal and regulatory advice.

Does the feasibility verdict commit capital or launch the offering?▼

No. The verdict is only a recommendation. Committing capital, hiring, or launching requires founder approval, and any research task that costs money is flagged for approval before execution.
