SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes reference (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

It simplifies the process of selecting specific objects within the ScienceWorld environment, enabling agents to clearly signal targets for manipulation or observation.

Core Features & Use Cases

Object Targeting: Allows users to designate specific environment objects to focus on, which is essential for coherent task progression.
Task Preparation: Facilitates subsequent actions like picking up or moving objects by establishing clear focus points.
Use Case: If an agent identifies a "dove egg" in the environment, it can focus on it before attempting to manipulate or examine the object.

Quick Start

Use the focus on command to select the target object, like focus on dove egg, before proceeding with actions such as pick up or move.

Frequently Asked Questions about scienceworld-object-focuser

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I focus on a specific object in ScienceWorld before executing a task?▼

To focus on a specific object in ScienceWorld, use the focus on command followed by the target name, such as focus on dove egg, to clearly signal the object for subsequent agent manipulation or observation.

Can I use the focus command to modify object states in the ScienceWorld environment?▼

No, the focus command does not modify object states in the ScienceWorld environment. It strictly guides subsequent agent actions and interactions by explicitly identifying and signaling environment objects for precise task execution.

How do agents prepare for object manipulation in ScienceWorld task scenarios?▼

Agents prepare for object manipulation in ScienceWorld by establishing a clear focus point on the target object before interaction. This task preparation step facilitates subsequent actions like picking up or moving items within the environment.

When do I need to explicitly focus on an object during ScienceWorld environment interaction?▼

You need to explicitly focus on an object during ScienceWorld environment interaction when your task requires a clear target for manipulation, examination, or observation, ensuring coherent task progression before the agent attempts any physical action.

Does the ScienceWorld object focus step work for both observation and manipulation tasks?▼

Yes, the ScienceWorld object focus step works for both observation and manipulation tasks. It allows agents to designate specific environment objects, enabling precise task execution whether the goal is to examine or physically interact with the target.
