SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill prevents stories from being marked complete with tests that merely exist or evidence that misses required criteria and sign-offs.

Core Features & Use Cases

Quality review beyond pass/fail: Evaluates assertion coverage, edge-case coverage, naming quality, and formula traceability for automated tests.
Evidence completeness checks: Verifies acceptance-criteria linkage, required sign-offs, artefact presence (screenshots/walkthroughs), and freshness for manual evidence.
Actionable verdict output: Produces ADEQUATE/INCOMPLETE/MISSING verdicts per story and can optionally write a persistent report under production/qa.

Quick Start

Run /test-evidence-review production/epics/hatchery/story-005-dragon-unlock-duplicate-xp-and-shiny-upgrade.md to review that story’s test and evidence quality in detail.

Frequently Asked Questions about test-evidence-review

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I review test evidence and coverage for game story files?▼

You can evaluate automated test quality and manual evidence completeness for game story files by applying coverage heuristics for assertions, edge cases, naming, and sign-offs to produce ADEQUATE, INCOMPLETE, or MISSING verdicts.

What is test evidence quality review beyond pass/fail status?▼

Test evidence quality review evaluates assertion coverage, edge-case coverage, naming quality, and formula traceability for automated tests, rather than just checking if tests pass or fail. It also verifies acceptance-criteria linkage and artefact presence for manual evidence.

How do I check if manual QA evidence meets sign-off criteria?▼

To check if manual QA evidence meets sign-off criteria, verify acceptance-criteria linkage, required sign-offs, artefact presence like screenshots or walkthroughs, and evidence freshness. This ensures stories meet closure readiness before being marked complete.

Can I audit test coverage across an entire sprint or epic scope?▼

Yes, you can audit test coverage across single-story, sprint, or system and epic scopes. The review applies across logic, integration, visual and feel, UI, and config and data story types to ensure comprehensive coverage and closure readiness.

How do I generate a persistent report for QA sign-off reviews?▼

To generate a persistent report for QA sign-off reviews, locate correct evidence paths via globs and greps, apply heuristics for assertions and edge cases, and optionally write a persistent report under the production QA directory with actionable verdicts per story.

Why do my automated tests pass but stories still lack closure readiness?▼

Automated tests may pass but still lack closure readiness if they merely exist without adequate assertion coverage, edge-case coverage, naming quality, or formula traceability, or if manual evidence misses required sign-offs and acceptance-criteria linkage.
