SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps AI agents create and modify editable ProBuilder meshes in Unity instead of relying on unsuitable regular mesh workflows, reducing errors during procedural modeling and level blockout tasks.

Core Features & Use Cases

ProBuilder Shape Creation: Create parametric shapes such as cubes, spheres, stairs, doors, and other editable geometry for Unity scenes.
Mesh Editing Operations: Perform face, edge, and vertex operations including extrusion, beveling, subdivision, welding, and UV projection.
Use Case: Build a gameplay blockout by generating room layouts, refining surfaces, and adjusting geometry while preserving ProBuilder topology for further editing.

Quick Start

Use the unity-probuilder skill to create a ProBuilder staircase and refine its geometry for a Unity level blockout.

Frequently Asked Questions about unity-probuilder

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create editable ProBuilder mesh geometry for Unity level blockouts?▼

To create editable ProBuilder mesh geometry for Unity level blockouts, use this Skill to generate parametric shapes like cubes and stairs, then apply face and vertex operations to refine the procedural modeling topology.

Does this ProBuilder mesh editing workflow require any specific Unity packages?▼

Yes, this ProBuilder mesh editing workflow requires the Unity ProBuilder package to be installed, which provides the necessary foundation for MCP-driven shape creation, face editing, and mesh queries.

Can I use procedural modeling to extrude and bevel faces in Unity scenes?▼

Yes, you can use procedural modeling to extrude and bevel faces in Unity scenes, as this Skill supports comprehensive mesh editing operations including extrusion, beveling, subdivision, welding, and UV projection.

What's the best way to refine 3D geometry topology for Unity scene construction?▼

The best way to refine 3D geometry topology for Unity scene construction is applying ProBuilder operations like subdivision and welding, which preserve editable mesh structures for further procedural modeling adjustments.

Why does regular mesh editing not work for Unity ProBuilder procedural modeling tasks?▼

Regular mesh editing does not work for Unity ProBuilder procedural modeling tasks because it lacks the specialized topology preservation needed, whereas this Skill directly targets ProBuilder mesh operations to reduce errors during level blockouts.
