FAQPage Schema

How do I integrate Datadog and Dynatrace alerts into ServiceNow ITOM?▼

You can integrate Datadog and Dynatrace alerts into ServiceNow ITOM by configuring event management connectors that automate the ingest of third-party monitoring data, normalize event data, and centralize alerting.

What is the best way to normalize New Relic metrics to ServiceNow severity levels?▼

The best way to normalize New Relic metrics is by mapping external metrics to ServiceNow definitions and applying alert correlation rules that convert external severities into ServiceNow priorities to reduce alert noise.

Does ServiceNow ITOM support REST API access for observability data integration?▼

Yes, ServiceNow ITOM supports MCP and REST API access for connector management, allowing you to automate the configuration and ingestion of observability data from external monitoring platforms.

How do I validate data flow from Dynatrace to ServiceNow Event Management?▼

You validate data flow by using end-to-end validation features that trace observability data from Dynatrace through configured connectors into ServiceNow alerts, providing troubleshooting guidance and best practices.

Can I create alert correlation workflows across multiple monitoring platforms in ServiceNow?▼

You can build alert correlation workflows across Datadog, Dynatrace, and New Relic by creating correlation rules within ServiceNow ITOM that normalize external alerts and reduce incident response noise.

Why are my external observability alerts not mapping correctly to ServiceNow priorities?▼

External observability alerts may not map correctly if connector configurations are incomplete or metric mapping rules are misaligned, requiring end-to-end data flow validation and troubleshooting to resolve.
