SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Phase 5B silicon validation is critical to ensure RTL designs meet timing, synthesis readiness, and top-level integration requirements before tape-out. This skill automates the silicon-readiness validation process, reducing manual verification effort and tightening signoff gates.

Core Features & Use Cases

Orchestrates Phase 5B silicon validation for RTL blocks and top integration, coordinating synthesis, constraints, and timing checks.
Enforces signoff-oriented gates and precise top-integration checks after functional closure, replacing ad-hoc verification steps.
Use Case: A design team transitions from Phase 5A to 5B can apply this skill to ensure a smooth, auditable silicon-validation flow across blocks and top-level integration.

Quick Start

Invoke the silicon validation orchestrator with an optional --top <name> parameter to validate a specific block.

Frequently Asked Questions about rtl-p5b-silicon-validation

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I automate silicon validation for RTL designs after functional closure?▼

You automate silicon validation by coordinating synthesis, constraints, and timing-oriented checks to enforce signoff-ready gates. This ensures your block-to-top integration meets Phase 5B readiness requirements without manual verification effort.

What is Phase 5B silicon validation and how does it differ from 5A?▼

Phase 5B silicon validation applies signoff-oriented gates and precise top-integration checks after functional closure. It splits from P5A workflows by focusing strictly on synthesis readiness, CDC/STA posture, and top-level verification scenarios.

How do I check top-level integration and timing constraints for RTL signoff?▼

You check top-level integration by applying signoff-oriented gates and precise timing verification scenarios. The orchestration validates block-to-top integration, ensuring CDC/STA posture and synthesis constraints are fully satisfied.

Can I validate a specific RTL block for synthesis readiness during Phase 5B?▼

Yes, you can validate a specific RTL block by invoking the silicon validation orchestrator with the optional top parameter. This targets the block and applies signoff-ready synthesis and timing checks automatically.

What is the best way to coordinate CDC and STA checks for RTL top integration?▼

The best way to coordinate CDC and STA checks is using an automated orchestration flow that enforces signoff-oriented gates. This replaces ad-hoc verification steps and ensures precise top-integration checks across the design.
